Top 5 BEST Smartphones of 2019 (Mid Year)

What up guys, Saf here on SuperSaf TV, and it July.Like seriously where does the time go?That means we are past halfway of the year, and this first half of the year has been very eventful when it comes to smartphone launches. Weve had so many new smartphones this year already, and there many more to go.As I do every year, SuperSaf style,I have compiled a list of my personal top five picks so far.So, if youre in the market to buy a new smartphone right now, I would definitely consider these five. Now these are my personal top five. So, they may be different to yours. That absolutely fine. We can still be friends. Also these are the devices that are released in 2019 and are currently available to buy right now.So, of course they are not gonna include iPhones,so Apple fans calm down, it okay.I would advise maybe waiting a couple of monthswhen weve got the new iPhones of 2019.And if you really want to get a new iPhone right now,my advice would be the iPhone 10S Max,which is the iPhone that I use and I really do like.Right now that weve got all of that out the way,let get to the list. This list is in no particular order, and the first device in no particular orderon this list is the device that I thinkIve been using the most this year so far.And that is the Samsung Galaxy S10+.Along with that we also have the Samsung Galaxy S10,which is very similar. And there also the Samsung Galaxy S10E,which is a bit of a cut-down version of these. And Im gonna put them all together in one.Now why are the S10 on my list?Well Id say that these are stillthe best all-rounders out there. They might not be the absolute best at everything, but they do everything very, very well. They tick all of the boxes.Youve got some of the best displaysin the market right now.Youve got great build and design.Youve got fast charging, although it might not beas fast as some of the others.Youve got fast wireless charging.Youve got reverse wireless chargingand you also have some features that you dont geton of other smartphones, such as a 3.5 mm jackas well as expandable storage, which we are pretty much not seeing on anything right now.And one of the things that I really like about the S10sis that they have very consistent cameras.Youve got triple lenses, but you do get very similar shotsout of those triple lenses. This is something that unfortunately cant be saidfor many of the other devices on this list. And I really like what Samsung have donewith One UI this year.It very clean, it very easy to useand it now become one of my favorite skins. So, if youre in the market for a new smartphone right now,I can definitely recommend the Samsung Galaxy S10s.Now the next device on my list is on itfor two main reasons. The display and the speed.Of course it is the OnePlus 7 Pro.This has the best smartphone display in the marketin my opinion, and it kind of surprisingto see this for a non Samsung device, although Samsung has made the panel for it.And that because weve got an AMOLED displaywith a 90 Hertz refresh rate, which means everything is super, super smooth.Youve also got one of the best screen to body ratioson any smartphone right now.It pretty much bezel less because of that pop up camera, and although some of the specs might be similarto other flagships out there, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855as well as the 12 gigabytes of RAM,what really separates the OnePlus 7 Prowhen it comes to speedis firstly the fact that it got UFS 3.0 storage. This is something that we dont really haveon many of the smartphones right now,and this does really go towards the overall smoothness, and performance of the device,as well as Oxygen OS which is very minimaland very, very clean.Id say that the OnePlus 7 Prois the fastest smartphone that you can buy right now.We finally got serious speakers this year as well, and the cameras have also been improvedcompared to previous years, although I do still think there room for improvement.OnePlus has been releasing updates, which have beenimproving the cameras more and more. So, that definitely a positive sign. Now although you do have very fast charging, there still no wireless charging, which I think should be included in a flagship device. And although the OnePlus 7 Pro is a little bitmore expensive compared to what OnePlus fansare generally used to, I definitely think it worththe extra price, and it still very, very competitivewhen you compare it to some of the other flagships, which can go up to and above 1,000 pounds or dollars. Now if you are in a budget and you want to geta really good smartphone for the price, then this next smartphone might surprise you, because I normally only include the creme de la crème,the top of the tier smartphones in these lists, but this next smartphone has really impressed me,because it comes in at 400 pounds or 400 dollars, and in my opinion it has the best camerasat this price point.Of course it is the Google Pixel 3a.Now because of that lower price point, you are missing out on some of those flagship features, such as a bezel less design, more premium materials for the build and design, and those flagship processes suchas the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855,but for a general user, I think the Pixel 3ais a great option.Youre getting a stock experience of the Google softwarewith updates guaranteed for a few years. Many of these are the devices you have to wait for monthsto get those updates. And once again I have to go back to those cameras.Google software processing is just on another level, and youre gonna be getting some great consistent camerasat this price point, and that the reason whythe Pixel 3a and 3a XL have made my list. Now the next device on my list might also be a surpriseto a few people, because the series of this smartphonehas not made a previous top five list of mine. And this time it is the Asus Zenfone 6.Why has this made my top smartphone list?Well firstly the price point is coming inat around 500 pounds, but youre still getting flagship specs.Youre getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processorwith a decent amount of RAM.Youre getting a premium build and design, and what I really like about the Asus Zenfone 6is that it different, it got a flip up camera module, which allows you to have the same front-facing camerasas you do or the rear facing cameras. Now this flipup mechanism is somethingthat weve not seen before and I respect Asusfor trying something new and different, but I also like the fact that theyve reallytoned down their UI this year.It very close to stock and it somethingthat I really do like this year. And then weve got a massive 5000 mAh battery, which is gonna keep you going all day longand possibly even two days for a lot of people. Now because of this massive battery, which is the largest battery that Ive testedon any smartphone right now,you dont get wireless charging, but I think it a compromise that a lot of peoplewould be happy to make, and you still also get a 3.5 mm jack. Now the display isnt the best out there. It LCD.I do prefer OLED,but it not bad by any means.Once again at that price point I thinkit a very, very good device and it a devicethat I can definitely recommend. Now the final smartphone on my listwas a difficult one to choose. So, Im gonna cheat a little bit,and Im gonna give the final spot to two devicesand that because they both share a very similar featureand that is periscope optical zoom.Of course we have the Huawei P30 Proas well as the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. Now these devices hands down havethe best zoom on any smartphone right now.And although that might not be somethingthat you can use for everything, when it does come to some situationsthat zoom is absolutely priceless.Look at some of these shots that I got from the planeon my Oppo Reno 10x Zoom.It absolutely great to be able to have that flexibilityon a smartphone. Now the P30 Pro I love that gradient design on it.It got amazing, amazing battery lifeand I would say that the P30 Proshoots the best low-light images on any smartphoneright now and that because it uses a red yellowon blue sensor compared to the red green and bluethat so many other devices do.Youve got Huawei Supercharge as well as wireless chargingnow although the Oppo Reno 10x Zoomdoes not have wireless charging, you still do get VOOC Superchargeand I do prefer the display, the almost bezel less display of the Renocompared to the P30 Pro,which still has the dewdrop notch.I cant say that.Dewdrop, (mumbles) dewdrop notch. Now another thing that I like aboutthe Oppo Reno is that youve got that flush back. So, you dont have a camera bump which is somethingthat you have on pretty much most other devices these days, and it does give it a very unique and slick look. Now honestly speaking Im not a huge fan of the skinson either of these phones. So, EMUI and Color OS but they are getting better with timeand if you can get over those, theyre some great devices. Now that my top five/top six list. Now there have to be some honorable mentions, which didnt make this list for various reasons.Firstly, of course the Redmi K20 Pro.The reason why this hasnt made the list is becauseI dont have it as yet.It gonna be released as the Xiaomi Mi 90 Prohere in the European market, but it not available as yet.I have been playing around with the Xiaomi Mi 90,which is a great smartphone for the price.Hopefully when the Redmi K20 pro is available here,I will test that out.It might make my top five list towards the end of the year, weve also got the OnePlus 7 regular version,so if youre somebody who cant go for the OnePlus 7 Pro,the OnePlus 7 is still a very good smartphonethat does tick many boxes. Now I would still describe that as a OnePlus 6T S,not a OnePlus 7, because it is pretty much an updateto the OnePlus 6T, but nevertheless it is a very, very goodsmartphone for the price. The Samsung Galaxy A80.I know a lot of you guys are gonna ask about that, but that device is currently not available.Yes it was announced a few months ago,but it not available to buy in many places right now,and of course the Samsung Galaxy Fold, something new and different which I loved using, but because of the issues it been pulled back, and it gonna be released towardsthe second part of this year. So, that once again a reason why it didntmake my top five list. So, there we have it guys, that my top five list. What are your favorite smartphones of 2019 so far?Drop those in the comments below.Of course we are going to be doing a final year roundup. If you want to see that as well as many other smartphonesand collaborations, wink-wink nudge-nudge,then make sure you have subscribed and hit that bell icon,so you dont miss any further coverage.I hope you enjoyed this video and found it useful. If you did then do hit that thumbs up button for me,readers help me out. Thanks for watching. This is Saf on SuperSaf TV.Ill see you next time.(peppy music)

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus vs iPhone XS Max

- Now that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is officialhow does it compare to the flagship from Apple?Whats up guys, Saf here on SuperSaf TVand lets find out SuperSaf style. So initially looking at the sizesboth devices are pretty large but I would saythat the S10 Plus is slightly more compact, its not as wide as the iPhone Xs Maxand it also weighs quite a bit lesscompared to new Xs Max, around 50 grams. Now this is partly becauseit has a slightly smaller display,6.4 inches versus 6.5 inches on the Xs Max.Both devices have minimal bezels, maximizing that screen to body ratio. On the Xs Max however you do have a notch, and on the S10 Plus you have a punch outfor the front-facing cameras. Now neither is a perfect solution for a bezel-less displaybut I think its going to come down to your personal preferencewhat you prefer, the notch or the punch out.Definitely let me know in the comments below. In terms of the display technologieswe have OLED for both devicesand these are some of the best mobile displayson the market right now.Weve got sharp detail, vibrant colors, great viewing angles, and I dont think you can go wrongwith either of these displays.Samsung have now said that the S10 Plusis the first mobile display to support HDR 10 Plusand it does look absolutely stunningbut one thing that you get on the Xs Maxwhich you dont get on the S10 Plus is 3D touch. So this is a pressure sensitive display,it allows you to push down harder on certain apps and thingsand get more options. Now moving on to the build and design, both devices are very premium and both are alsoIP68 water and dust resistant which is great. The iPhone Xs Max has a stainless steel framewith glass panels on the front and back, the S10 Plus has a aluminium or aluminum framewith curved glass panels on the front and backso it is curved towards the edges, looks pretty cool. However the S10 Plus is also availablein a couple of ceramic options, ceramic black and ceramic white. These look and feel very premiumand theyre also going to bea little bit more durable compared to glass. The S10 Plus does come in a variety of other colors as well, weve got prism white, prism black, prism green, as well as prism blue. The iPhone Xs Max doesnt come in as many colors, youve got space gray, silver, and gold and thats itso the advantage of she does go to the S10 Plus. However if you do want a customized lookof either of these devices Id recommend picking up a skinfrom our channel sponsor, dbrand.Theyve got a huge selection for both the iPhone Xs Maxas well as the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.Im going to be leaving a link to them in the description belowso do go ahead and check them out.Now moving on to the internals, the iPhone Xs Maxhas the Apple A12 Bionic chip, its super fast and snappy, one of the fastest out there right now.The S10 Plus comes with theQualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or Samsungs Exynos 9820.Which one of these you getwill vary depending on your region but both of theseare some of the fastest processors out thereand I dont think you can go wrong with eitherthe iPhone or the S10 Pluswhen it comes to speed and performance, these are going to be some of the fastest devices out there. If however you do want me to doa side-by-side speed test between these twothen definitely let me know in the comments below.A lot of the speed will also depend on the operating systemsand we do have iOS on the iPhone and weve got Android Piewith Samsungs new OneUI on the S10 Plus.I quite like OneUI, very smooth and snappy, but I also really like iOS so Im in between these twoand I always have an iPhone with meas well as an Android device.Of course which one you likeis going to come down to your personal preference. In terms of RAM and storage the iPhone Xs Maxcomes with 4 gigabytes of RAM across the boardand it has three different storage options, 64, 256,as well as 512 gigabytes all at different prices. The S10 Plus comes with a base of eight gigabytes of RAMand 128 gigabytes of storage, however if you do go for one of these ceramic optionsyou can get 512 gigabytes of storageor the the top of the line has one terabyte of storagewith 12 gigabytes of RAM, that is absolutely insane.Im not sure how much of an impactthis is going to have on performancebut its crazy to think that we can have 12 gigabytes of RAMon one terabyte of storage on a smart phone. In addition to that you do have expandable memoryon the S10 Plus so you can get your micro SD card slotand expand your storage by up to another 512 gigabytesso when it comes to storageI would have to give the edge to the S10 Plus. Now lets move on to my favorite part, the cameras. The iPhone Xs Max has a dual camera setup, both are 12 megapixels with optical image stabilization. They are some of the best cameras out there,Ive really enjoyed using them. The primary camera has an F 1.8 apertureand the secondary camera is going to give youtwo times optical zoom that has an F 2.4 aperture. My favorite thing about the iPhone camerashas been Smart HDR,it gets amazing dynamic range in all situations. However when it comes to low-lightI do think the iPhone can improve. The S10 Plus comes with a triple rear facing camera setupso the primary camera actually has a variable aperture,F 1.5 which is great for low-lightbut also F 2.4 depending on the light in your scene. The telephoto camera is very similar to the iPhone Xs Maxso youve got two times optical zoom with an F 2.4 aperturewith optical image stabilization. But this year Samsung have also introducedan ultra-wide camera, this is 16 megapixelsand its going to be great to get more into your shot.Im a huge huge fan of ultra-wide camerasand Im really looking forward to spending more timewith the S10 Plus camera. Now which one of these is better between these two,of course were going to have to doa SuperSaf style camera comparisonand if you want to see thatthen definitely smash that like button to let me know. Now moving on to video, both devices do support 4Kat up to 60 frames a second which is great. And for the front-facing cameras the iPhone has 7 megapixelswith an F 2.2 aperture, its a really good front-facing camerahowever, once again, low-light not so great. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has two front facing cameras, the primary camera is 10 megapixels with an F 1.9 apertureand it also has the dual pixel auto focusthat weve got on the rear facing cameraso this should be pretty cool in terms of getting focusalso from the front-facing camera. And in addition to that you also have an 8 megapixelsecondary camera which is going to helpwith depth information so it should helpwith the portrait selfies that you can take. The iPhone also takes some great portrait selfies.Of course were going to have to put these side-by-sideto find out which one of these is better. But one thing that the S10 haswhich Im pretty sure no other smartphone has right nowis 4K UHD video recording from the front-facing camera. This is pretty new, Im pretty sure,Ive not seen it on another device, and if youre somebody who likes to usea front-facing camera a lot and maybe vlogsthen this is going to be a great addition for you. With the iPhone Xs Max it does max out at 1080p.Moving on to the audio department, both devices have stereo speaker which is great, one is in the earpiece on one is button firing. The S10 Plus however has a 3.5 mm jack,Samsung have still included this which is greatfor a lot of people I know. The iPhone Xs Max of course does not have thisand Apple have not had a 3.5 mm jack for quite some time nowso its something that we werent really expectingwith the iPhone Xs Maxso this advantage does go to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. And in terms of the other additional features, the iPhone Xs Max does come with Face ID,its really accurate, really fast, very secure.the S10 Plus does have 2D facial recognitionwhich is not as secure however it does havean ultrasonic in display fingerprint sensor. Now this is one of the first deviceswith an ultrasonic fingerprint sensorand this is a lot more advancedcompared to the optical solutions that we had previously. And in my initial testing it has worked really well.If you want to see a detailed comparisonbetween Face ID and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, once again, definitely let me know in the comments below,Ill be trying to prioritizewhich comparisons you guys want to see moston getting through them as soon as I can.The S10 Plus also has a heart rate sensoras well as Wi-Fi 6.Wi-Fi six is 20% faster compared to what we have right now. These are some of the new featuresthat Samsung has included. And moving on to the batteries, the iPhone Xs Maxhas a 3176 mAh battery, the S10 Plus has a larger 4100 mAh battery. Now usage obviously varies and size doesnt always matter, thats what she said, Im sorry, Im sorry,I really need to grow up, but of courseusage will vary from person to person. The iPhone Xs Max has been pretty good for mein terms of battery life,it usually does get me through the day.Itll be interesting to see how wellthe S10 Plus performs in comparison. And both devices do support fast charging, however the fast charging does not come out of the boxof the iPhone Xs Max.This is something that Ive ranted about before,it should definitely come out of the boxwith the iPhone Xs Max but its not included, you do have to buy that separately. With the S10 plus you will geta fast charger out of the box.both devices also support wireless chargingwhich is really useful, however the S10 Plus supports fast wireless charging 2.0so this is much faster compared to previous generationand it will be much faster compared to the iPhone Xs Max.And it doesnt stop there, the S10 Plusalso has wireless power share. This is reverse wireless charging,so you can actually use your S10 Plusto also charge the the iPhone Xs Max.You can charge pretty much any deviceby just placing it on the back as well as some accessorieslike the Galaxy earbuds or the Galaxy watch. Finally looking at the price, the S10 Plusdoes come in quite a bit cheapercompared to the iPhone Xs max in the UK, anyway, around 900 pounds is the starting pricefor the base 128 gigabyte model. The iPhone Xs Max starts at 1100 poundsand that is for half the storage, 64 gigabytes. So when it comes to value for money, bang for buck, you are getting more on the S10 Pluscompared to the iPhone Xs Max.However, of course it is going to come downto your personal preference,I really do like the iPhone Xs Maxand in my opinion it is the best iPhoneyou can buy right nowand if you are within that ecosystemit might be the best option for you. However, if you are on the Android sidethe S10 Plus looks like a very, very promising devicewith a lot of features, lots of boxes ticked offfor a lot of people.Pre-orders start todayand it is going to be shipping out from the 8th of March.Ill try to leave a link in the description belowif youre interested in picking one of these up.What do you think of both of these devicesand which one would you go for?Definitely drop me a comment below and let me know.I hope you enjoyed this video and found it useful. If you did then do hit that thumbs up man for meand if you havent already then be sure to subscribeand switch on notifications, were going to be having lots of comparisonsand lots more coverage with the S10 Plushere on the channel. Thanks for watching, this is Saf on SuperSaf TVand Ill see you next time.(upbeat music)

iphone 11 vs iphone 11 pro vs iphone 11pro max depth comparison review 2019

Hi everyone this is RAZA and welcome back to The Real Tech Talker. The new 2019 iPhone lineup is finally here and along with their release chemical a trait of expectation with the fantastic developments we've seen in Android smartphones this year. it's no secret that Apple have been playing catch-up but with some surprising and innovative improvements. The iPhone is back competing with the best on the market. A lot of the experience you get with the new phones will feel familiar that knotch design is still here and it's starting to show its age but some big increases to battery life and significantly improved cameras have given us a reason to be excited about iPhone once again. This video will cover everything that's new this year. The differences between each model whether or not you should upgrade and of course which iPhone offers the best value for money. Let's take a look. The three new iPhones are direct successors to previous models. We have the iPhone 11 replacing the cheaper 10 are the 11 Pro replacing the 10s and the 11 Pro max replacing the 10s max.The new naming system has been simplified and is an improvement on last year but still could do with some work. The use of the term Pro for example could be a little controversial as we'll see throughout this video,I also think that we should just have the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro and then differentiate between the two Pro models simply by size this would make things a lot easier especially since the two pros are essentially the same phone but in different sizes Apple already uses this system with its MacBook and iPad lineups. So it would make sense here to the iPhone 11 has the same form factor as the 10 are right down to the very same size and weight it's still a glass sandwich with an aluminium frame and with no change to the front design you wouldn't be able to tell the two apart just by looking the rear panel has seen some changes though with a new jewel lens camera module. The square camera bump has a frosted texture to contrast from the glossy back the iPhone branding has been removed and the Apple logo is now centered to take into account the larger camera module. These changes do give the iPhone a cleaner look but depending on your region you may still find some safety stamps at the bottom water assistance has now been improved to ip68 to protect the phone again submersion at up to 2 meters for 30 minutes twice the depth of the iPhone 10. The phone is available in six new pastel colors in contrast to the bolder colors of the 10s the pro models also follow a similar design from last year's models but are actually a little bit bigger thicker and heavier than their predecessors. The increase in thickness is largely due to the new bigger batteries which marks a rare change in apple's approach in which function has been prioritized over style. Again we have a glass sammich design which the pro models have a stronger stainless steel frame versus the aluminium frame in the iPhone 11. It's the majority of other smartphones. Stainless steel is much harder than aluminium, so will offer better scratch resistance. The rear panels are sporting the new triple lens camera system and now have frosted glass backs with glossy camera modules. The reverse of the iPhone 11 by personally much prefer the pros design over the iPhone 11. The match texture to the glass feels really good in the hand and is much more resistant to fingerprints as you've likely already noticed there's a new colour option with the pro models in addition to the gold silver and Space Gray from last year. The new midnight green is only subtly different from space gray and is far less obviously green than pitchers would initially suggest it's stainless steel border is color matched to but only in certain lights. You will be able to see the difference from the space great model. The pros also have improved water resistance again with an ip68 rating but have actually been tested to a depth of 4 meters as opposed to 2 awarding the 11 pros. The best water resistance for any smartphone despite not having an increase in thickness. The iPhone 11 receives a slightly larger battery than the 10s, but it's mainly due to optimizations with the new processor that enable the phone to extend its battery life by one hour the 10 are already had fantastic battery life the best of last year's iPhones so to extend this even further is great to see the pros on the other hand to take this a whole lot further with significantly larger batteries than their predecessors. The 11pro lasts for hours longer than the 10s as the 11 Pro max lasts 5 hours longer than the 10s max which are absolutely huge gains in battery life. Finally iPhone users have been given what they've been asking for for years sacrificing a bit in terms of the phone's thickness to give much better battery life. The pro models also finally have the fast chargers included in the box something Apple ready should have been doing for years but it's great to see them finally make this change the 18 watt adapter has a USB C connector and a USB C2 lightning cable is included too.Unfortunately Apple didn't make the full switch to USB C despite the fact that they've been using USB C in their iPad pros, so given that they've also called these phones pro. I would have thought that we'd see USB C here too it's likely, we'll need to wait for next year's iPhones to finally ditch the Lightning port but including USB C fast charges in the box is at least a step in the right direction. The cheaper iPhone 11 doesn't receive the fast charger in the box and instead comes with the standard 5 watt adapter well three phones are capable of fast charging though and using the 18 watt charger. I was able to charge the iPhone 11 in two hours and 12 minutes , the 11pro in one hour 40 minutes and the 11pro marks in two hours in one minute fast charging provides 50 % battery after just 30 minutes of charging but the 18 watt speed does pale in comparison to the competition with speeds now up to and even exceeding 45 watts the phone support qi wireless charging at seven-and-a-half watts but again this is starting to fall behind the competition with speeds up to 4 times faster and now becoming available. The iPhone 11 has the exact same 6.1 inch liquid Retina display is the 10 S it's an LCD display. The resolution that doesn't quite reach 1080p which by 2019 standards is lacking behind the competition Samsung's Galaxy S 10 II for example widely considered to be the equivalent to this phone has a much better 1080p AMOLED display. The bezels on the iPhone 11 are also pretty thick especially by today's standards. I should say though that I am approaching this as a tech reviewer as the majority of people considering this phone really won't care too much about the specs. The iPhone Elevens display is still very sharp has beautiful colors and is still a big improvement from many of the older generation iPhones. The iPhone 11 pros by contrast have far superior OLED displays, the bezels are noticeably thinner on the pro models but is the true blacks and bright whites that really separates the two displays with iOS 13 introducing dark mode. You can only fully appreciate this on the older displays of the pro models. The deep blacks are really striking and of course more battery efficient too the pros have improved displays from the 10s models of last year and now have much higher brightness and contrast ratios Apple have dubbed the displays super Retina XDR since they borrow elements from the upcoming pro display XDR which I'd imagine is part of how Apple want to justify the term Pro in the phone's name as good as these displays are though I really think of these should have had the 120 has refresh rate that we've seen in the iPad pros and fair for calling them pro would have at least made a bit more sense.
